The Teranga offers the acceptance proposing in the premises in style AFRO, traditional and modern Afro music.

Teranga in wolof (the diffused language more in senegal) means acceptance, the acceptance that is made to every person that it arrives to house, announced or less, that it has wants to be with to beyond the color of the skin or the accent with which speaks.

With this spirit TERANGA is been born, a cultural association, founded in it Opens them del 1993, that it re-unites Italians and Africans with the purpose to promote the encounter and the exchange between cultures, against every shape of racism and discrimination.

In January 1995 it has been opened the center of the association to Mestre in via of Bran 34 in such way that the associates had an encounter place in order to make to be born and to develop their proposals.

The initiatives that we carry ahead space from music, to course ofcultural character (danced ethnic, percussions, batik, traditional medicine African), to conferences and encounter, the creation of a space dedicated to the collection of materials (books, newspapers, products artigianalo, video cassettes, discs) inherent the various cultures, racism and the shapes of discrimination.
 
One of the activities to which we hold mainly is our engagement in the elementary and medium schools of the province of Venice for one more wide spreadof the culture African, because the children place side by side themselves endured to an idea of cosmopolita society and respect of the cultural diversities that composeit.

The acquaintance of various cultures can also be one last evening in company to ascoltere the good music tasting specialty from the world: Teranga has in fact a service bar, a theater box for gi shows and a wide space in order to dance together.

In order to end TERANGA it is also a formed musical complex from percussionisti, vocalist and dancers Africans.
