Teatro Romano

The Roman Theatre, along with the Arena, is one of the two main places in Verona for Summer theatre performances.

Its construction (it was built into the slopes of the Colle S. Pietro) dates back to the 1st century B.C. and today you can visit the archaeological museum next door.

Various plays are put on every season, and they vary from tragedies and comedies (especially Shakespeare and Goldoni) to ballets (from classical to Momix).
