Pepsi Max Big One

Pepsi Max Big One is a steel roller coaster located at Pleasure Beach, Blackpool in Blackpool. When opened on 28 May 1994 it was the tallest, fastest, and steepest roller coaster in the world. The ride lost its height and speed records to Fujiyama in 1996. It lost its angle of descent record to Oblivion at Alton Towers in 1998. Between 1994 and 2002 it was the tallest and fastest roller coaster in Europe, until being surpassed by Silver Star at Europa Park in Germany. It is sponsored by Pepsi Max. It is still the tallest roller coaster in Britain, but has recently lost its speed record in Britain to Stealth at Thorpe Park.
