The Museum From the Dauphine is installed in the old convent of Holy-Marie-of in-High (classified historic building). After an animated history, the building was restored at the time of the Olympic Games of Grenoble in 1968.

History:
In accordance with the wish of the founder of the museum, Hippolyte Müller, the conservatives who followed one another built an immense knowledge on the men and the communities of Isere and the Alps. The collections interest all the fields and all the disciplines of the regional inheritance: prehistoric archeology and historical; history; ethnology; industrial inheritance; regional decorative arts.

Assets:
The principal asset of the collections resides in their great diversity. The most modest object constitutes an important document by the testimony which it transmits on our history. In addition, through the program of temporary exposures, the collections grow rich each year on the most various topics. Acquired before January 1, 1992, these collections belong to the Town of Grenoble and are placed at the disposal of the Council general.
