Mumlu is characteristic of a typical Turkish night out, combining dinner and a folk music serenade (from 9pm nightly) on two floors of a restored wooden house. The entire experience is unexpected, obscured behind lacey curtains at the end of a back alley in a maze of back streets in Bodrum's bazaar neighborhood. The food is also surprising, on a menu that includes fistikli tavuk (chicken in a pistachio-and-apricot sauce). Mezes and main courses run $2.50 to $6 (MasterCard and Visa accepted).
