By Road: Take the A64(T) off the A1(T) near Tadcaster, then follow the signs to York West for 14 miles. Continue to the sign marked York West (A1036), then follow the signs to the Racecourse and Bishopthorpe. Middlethorpe Hall is on the right just before the Racecourse. There is ample parking. By Rail: The nearest station is York, to which there is an excellent and very fast train service from Kings Cross Station in London (1 hour 50 minutes), Edinburgh (2 hours 30 minutes) and most parts of Britain. Taxis are readily available at York station or a private transfer can also be arranged upon request.
