The Lagoon itself is a shallow windsurfing lake, suitable for beginners. There is also a Watersport Centre which runs courses in sailing and windsurfing, operates powerboat and inflatable banana rides and various group and corporate events. When you reach a higher standard you can have a try on the sea behind the Lagoon. There is a smaller boating lake with rowing boats hired by the half hour from the cafe next door and a large children's play area, paddling pool and putting green. Further along the seafront are public tennis courts.

At Hove Lagoon Watersports we provide a wide range of Watersports events. By dipping your toes in the water we can open up a whole new world of sports to you.

Hove lagoon has very positive, fun out look. We will get you out on the water having fun, as quickly as possible, using the best equipment, location and coaching.

Hove Lagoon Watersports has a history as a top teaching centre. Since its small beginnings as a windsurfing club, the location has expanded its facilities at a speedy pace to include as many Watersports as possible. In the past nine years, since the inception of the current clubhouse, new courses have been added: from dinghy sailing to yachting and power boating.

In 2000 we became were the first centre in the UK to offer Zap Cat power boating and remain the only sea-based location for this thrilling craft.

In 2001 we opened a second centre in Brighton Marina to cater for the demands of the more adventurous sailor and bigger boat events.

Last year we added a full range of yachting practical and theory courses on our brand new 36 foot racing yacht. 2004 sees the addition of yet another racing yacht enabling us to be one of the few centres to offer Beneteau match racing.

This growth has been driven by listening to our customers and working to develop products and service to meet their needs. We are not perfect, we make mistakes but we listen to you and try and offer you the very best Watersports experience possible. If we make a mistake we will do our utmost to put it right.

INSURANCE

Hove Lagoon Watersports and Brighton Marina Watersports are insured for Third Party Liability.

Hove Lagoon Watersports have public liability from 2 million. It's suggested clients take out or check to see if they are personally insured for any incident where we are not negligent.

All instructors are RYA qualified.

THE GREAT BRITISH WEATHER:

It is extremely rare for us to cancel a session, but fog or wind of 20 plus knots can prevent us from running the session safely. We will either give a full refund or allocate a new time slot if suitable.
