Vegas on the Aegean -- and yes, seeing is believing. Touted as the biggest and best disco in the world, it's certainly the most infamous. This is excess at its best (and worst) and a club you love to hate, but everyone is inevitably impressed. The club's three columns tower imposingly above the harbor, a striking backdrop to the laser show later in the evening. Old and new hits from the top of the charts and nightly live shows are interrupted by the occasional appearances of famous pop singers -- possibly the reasoning behind the exaggerated and self-important amount of security present in and around the nightclub. With a capacity of 5,500 people, it might be a good idea to reserve one of the few tables the management holds for those with forethought, or work your way up to the upper level (and away from the fray), which is lined with cushioned banquettes and fez-covered bar stools. The club opens at 10pm but doesn't attract a soul until midnight, coaxing its clientele with theme nights like the Foam Party (every Fri and Sat), Free Beer Night (every Mon, Tues, and Thurs), and Ladies Night (every Sun 50% discount for all ladies).
