Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport (succeeded Ellinikon International Airport) – Athens, Greece Athens International Airport, "Elefthérios Venizélos" (Greek: Διεθνής Αερολιμένας Αθηνών, "Ελευθέριος Βενιζέλος") (IATA: ATH, ICAO: LGAV), which began operation on 29th of March 2001, is the only civilian airport that serves the city of Athens. Banks and foreign currency exchange are located in the Arrivals hall of the Main Terminal and ATMs are available in both Arrivals and Departures in the Main Terminal. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, snack bars and coffee shops in the Main Terminal, and a snack bar in the Satellite Terminal. In the Main Terminal, shops include duty-free, newsagents, boutiques and gift shops, bookstores and a range of speciality shops. There are also two shops in the Satellite Terminal. The lost property office is located in Arrivals in the Main Terminal. There are four first aid rooms, located in Departures and Arrivals in the Main Terminal and in the Satellite Terminal.
