The unusual beauty of the Granadilla moonscape is hidden away inside the Corona Forestal Nature Park. To discover this surprising whim of nature, which has created an area that seems to belong more to the moon than the earth, you need to enter the park via its south slope. The strange rock formations here, the result of thousands of years of erosion, attract many visitors who must walk for about 40 minutes along a rough footpath to enjoy the best view.

To reach this footpath you need to take the road that goes from Granadilla to Las Cañadas del Teide. Once past the town of Vilaflor and about two kilometres from the town centre take the turning to Lomo Blanco along a forest track to the beginning of the footpath, which is signposted.
