The Aloha golf club is situated in Marbella, and just a few minutes from Puerto Banús, in the 'Nueva Andalucía' residential area.

Aloha Golf is a fun course which requires accuracy and solid hitting. The holes are not excessively long except for the 1st, the 4th, the 13th and the 18th. It is a narrow course, full of hazards and very well-placed trees. The rough also complicates matters and makes some greens rather eventful, just right for skilful players.

Members get preference on the course, and non-members can play at the invitation of a member. In the peak season (from November to April) it is difficult to get a game.

Atalaya Golf & Country Club has two splendid 18-hole courses, the Old Course and the New Course. The club lies between Estepona and Marbella and apart from the two 18-hole courses it also offers one of the biggest practice courses in Spain where golf classes are taught in a variety of languages.

The Old Course, as its name indicates is the earliest and offers an entertaining round which is not particularly difficult, with fast greens and beautiful views. The New Course faces inwards towards the mountains. Its strategic position gives it spectacular panoramic views. It is a course which is suitable for players of all levels.

Both courses form part of a complex which includes the ATALAYA PARK HOTEL and offers its clients a wide variety of leisure and sports activities.

Both the course and the club are private and are only open to members. The upkeep of this 18-hole course is excellent and the natural environment has been well preserved. Many species of fauna and flora live side by side around its fairways. It is regarded as one of the best courses on the Costa del Sol despite the fact that entrance is restricted to members and guests.

The course is on a hill that leads down to the sea. The fairways are wide and there are water hazards all along the course. The 14th hole stands out for the beauty of the landscape, the trees and the lakes that surround it. The course allows the player not only to enjoy the game but also to enjoy the natural surroundings. The 7th hole is the most difficult. You have to be especially careful with the roughs, because of the many hazards they contain. The sea views make the course very attractive.

The Club de Golf de Guadalmina is only a few minutes from the town of San Pedro de Alcántara, between Marbella and Sotogrande. Guadalmina consists of two different courses: south course and north course.

Guadalmina Sur is the oldest course. It is renowned for being an extremely tough course, so it is only really recommended for expert players. There are few water or earth hazards but the vegetation is abundant and it?s very easy to lose the ball. The 4th and the 16th are especially tricky.

The Guadalmina Norte course runs parallel to the south course. It is easier but it contains more water hazards and the terrain is more hilly with several slopes. The 7th and the 14th are especially tricky and are bordered by water.

You can stay at the GUADALMINA GOLF HOTEL or, if you prefer, the location of the club in the heart of the Costa del Sol/Costa del Golf means there is an extensive range of options for accommodation.

The name Dama de Noche (Lady of the Night) comes from a bush which opens its flowers only at night and perfumes the entire valley. It is a comfortable course to play on, with various difficulties and alternative possibilities, but no rough, which allows players to find the ball quickly and makes for a fluid game. It has floodlights which allow golf lovers to play at any hour of the day or night.

Located between Mijas Costa and Marbella, La Cala Golf & Country Club consists of two splendid 18-hole courses surrounded by green rolling hills. The club also has 6 par-3 holes, a practice course, a putting and chipping green and a wonderful golf school.

It is an 18-hole course and another of 9 holes comfortable and fun course which is suitable for players of all levels, with the difficulty lying in the uneven fairways and the deep bunkers.

The distance from the tees to the green varies considerably, and although it is a short course, ideal for short play, you have the sensation that you are playing on a much bigger ground. The course is not too difficult. You can use a wood to reach the green of the 7th. There are wonderful views of the Mediterranean Sea from the 9th hole.

Los Arqueros offers a varied and very interesting round with many streams crossing the fairways and lakes on both sides. You have to plan your game carefully and accuracy is more important than distance due to the many slopes you will find all along the course. One of the most interesting features of Los Naranjos is the significant difference between the first nine and the last nine holes. It´s like playing two different courses. The first nine holes are laid out on broad, sweeping fairways, with gentle slopes, and with trees and water providing the natural hazards.

After the 9th hole the landscape becomes flatter and you will see the remains of the original orange grove that gave the course its name. Robert Trent Jones designed the course almost 20 years ago. He still considers it one of his best.

The round is very varied and players will need to draw on all of their experience and use all of the clubs in their bag. A very technical course requiring accurate shots. There are spectacular views of the sea from all parts of the course and the abundant vegetation adds to the beauty.

The 3rd and the 9th are worth mentioning as they present a real challenge to even the most experienced player.

In Fuengirola, not far from Marbella. The complex has two 18-hole courses, Los Lagos and Los Olivos, with different features making them suitable for players of all levels.

Los Lagos is a course with very long fairways surrounded by wide lakes, making the game quite tricky and suitable for players of a higher level.

Los Olivos was designed with narrow fairways requiring precise, accurate shots. The beauty of the course stems from the olive trees which surround it and from which it takes its name. The greens are small and are protected by deep bunkers.

Some recent major repairs have improved the course. The new design has two lakes which make it easier to reach the 11th hole. Two raised tees have been built for the 14th hole which have made it into something special.

This is quite hilly and uneven terrain, so it is advisable to take a cart. The topographical conditions make it difficult and at the same time attractive to play on, since it shows a natural and wild face.

Various bridges link fairways and tees. The hilly nature of the course will attract many players. The 7th hole is on a plateau with a lake next to the green. Along the course, precipices, slopes and fauna such as eagles, vultures or deer might pop up to add even more excitement to the game.

Is one of Europe's finest courses. It hosted the World Cup twice, the Spanish Open three times and as well as the Mediterranean Open. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, water is a major feature and must be crossed or avoided on twelve holes: there are ten artificial lakes fed by two streams. The greens, most of which are raised, are amply protected by bunkers. The results of Robert Trent Jones´s efforts was a difficult and attractive course.

The course is located on a site with several hills offering views of the sea. The first 9 holes of the course are the most difficult, due to the river that runs through several of them. From the 10th hole on, they are flatter. Most of the greens are quite flat. All of them are surrounded by bunkers. The course isn´t very uneven, and is comfortable for all levels of player.

One of the most beautiful holes is the 6th, and it is considered to be one of the most popular courses on the Costa del Sol, with its pine trees and gardens creating a very special landscape.
