It's easy to understand why this church's nickname is so short and simple, given that its official name is "Cathedral of Our Lady Assumed into Heaven and St. Nicholas." Its walls are fine-cut limestone from local quarries, and its floors are Connemara marble. It's not particularly old, as it was built in the 1960s. Contemporary Irish artisans designed the statues, stained-glass windows, and mosaics.
