The many witness accounts, historical-critical reviews and personal reminiscences from protagonists of the world of cinema, and not just cinema, provided meaningful reflection on the tangible influence that Fellini's genius had on international film-making.
The study conference also celebrated the opening of the Federico Fellini Museum, which opened its doors to the public on Saturday 8 November.
The museum, located on the ground floor of the director's Rimini home in Via Clementini 2, where his sister and other family members still live, houses the photographic exhibition "8 and 1/2, Fellini's journey", with photos taken by Gideon Bachmann on the set of the film made forty years ago.
The Museum aims to gradually collate all the existing documentation relating to the director, from drawings to musical scores and even props, building up an archive.
A further exhibition ran until 16th November in the Sala dell’Arengo, entitled “Federico in costume”, organized by Rimini Municipal Authority in association with the Foundation; this exhibition included over 40 outfits and original props from the set of "Fellini's Roma (Roma)" and "Fellini's Casanova (Il Casanova)" designed by Danilo Donati and inspired by the director himself.
