Cloister of Paradise

This graveyard dates from the 1200s and contains broken columns and statues, as well as sarcophagi.

The aura is definitely Moorish, with a whitewashed quadrangle of interlaced arches.

One of the treasures is fragments of Cosmatesque work, brightly colored geometric mosaics that once formed parts of columns and altars, a specialty of this region.

The arches create an evocative setting for concerts, both piano and vocal, held on Friday nights July to September.

Open Hours

The cloister is open March 9am to 5:30pm, April to September 9am to 9pm, and October to December 10am to 1pm.

Charges

2.50€ ($3.25) adults, 1€ ($1.30) children. It is closed January and February.
