The Château de la Mogère is a mansion house near the city of Montpellier in the French region of Languedoc-Roussillon. It is one of many follies surrounding Montpellier, built by wealthy merchants in the 18th century.

Built during the first decade of the XVIII century, by Jean-Antoine Giral, the castle of Mogère is presented in the form of vast and an austere frontage largely open on a garden to the Frenchwoman.

A little history…
In 1706, Fulcran Limozin secretary of the king, house and crown of France and controller of the Chancellery of Montpellier buys the field of Mogère. This one was not to then leave this family any more and, starting from the second owner, will be transmitted in a direct way until our days. Mogère offers an overall picture on the history of Montpellier and one of the principal families of the City, Boussairolles also owners of the castle of Flaugergues since the XIX E century.
